Seaside Inn Beach Resort Anna Maria Island FloridaJuly 26, 2010
“This is THE place to relax on Anna Maria Island - simply wonderful!”
Punta Gorda, Florida

The staff at Seaside Inn are great and go all out to make sure your stay is wonderful. The rooms are all decorated in a truly delightful tropical design, baskets of beach towels, nice little touches throughout. Clean, clean, clean and it's so nice to walk out the door to a great little private patio right there on the beach - I just can't say enough to let you know what a dreamy place this is. They've recently added a perfect little pool and there is nothing the staff isn't willing to do to make sure your stay is one you won't forget. Don't hesitate, we've stayed there several times over the past few months and can't wait to go back there again.

“Amazing”
Orlando, Florida

The Seaside Inn Beach Resort was beautiful and the location was incredible. It's right on the beach. There are only ten rooms and they all look out over the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. We found the room just like the photos on the website. It was very nice. The first time we stayed in this hotel was last May 2010 and stayed in one the of the Front Gulf Rooms because that's the only one available at the time - our stay was wonderful and relaxing . We loved it so much and decided to go back and stayed again at this hotel and stayed at one of the studios ---love it , love it !!!! My husband and I are thinking about going back for the third time sometime this year and will definitely staying at this hotel again!!

“Paradise On The Beach”
Bradenton, Florida

My husband and I rented the penthouse at the Seaside Inn for two evenings and had a really wonderful time. The accomodations were fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked with all that was needed to dine in. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The bathroom combined old world charm with the modern conveniences of today. From our living room, we had unbelievable views of the Gulf and the beautiful sunsets only seen from the West Coast of Florida! We enjoyed our walks on the beach, naps on the lounge chairs and brief conversations with the staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the new pool! We are already booking our next stay for May 2010. The Seaside has and will become our little haven away from home.

“My favorite respite at the Seaside Inn”
Indianapolis. IN

The Seaside Inn at Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island has been a favorite spot for a vacation or just a respite for over 20 years. Anna Marie has several ethnic restaurants such as Uma's for pizza, Mr. Bones for cajun, The Beach House for dinner and dancing on the beach or the Crepe Place for a great French breakfast or lunch. The Seaside Inn is a small Inn with great service on the beach. The rooms are spacious, clean and well decorated. Each unit has a kitchenette with everything you need. Just stop at Publix, pick up some goodies and spend the day on the white beach, shelling, enjoying the Dolphins playing and watching the sunset. They have a great variety of books, movies and will let you use the computer to print out a boarding pass. The staff is gracious and make your stay as memorable as the location. The island has many activities all year round. Have a great time! Sheryl Smith, Indianapolis, IN.

“Loved this place”
Georgia

Right on the beach! Best view on the island. Perfect for a couple or a couple with a young child. The room was nicely appointed, the bed was firm and comfty. While the room and the kitchenette were a little small, everything was adequately sized, especially for breakfast and lunch. The grills were conveniently located and we were able to easily grill some burgers and shrimp for dinner. My recommendation is to bring a toaster oven and a blender. The staff and other guests were friendly. Best part was that we were RIGHT ON THE BEACH. No chairs to carry. Just step outside the patio and you are there! Loved listening to and watching the waves. Loved Anna Maria Island!

“The best all around place to stay in the area when on the Gulf of Mexico”
Burtonsville, Maryland

Finding value and comfort at one time in beach resort areas can be challenging. Weekly condo rentals can be overkill and even wind up with rooms in disrepair as they are not owned by the company you pay. Daily hotel alternatives can be a stark cookie cutter experience. The Seaside is a delightful in-between alternative. One of three resorts in the area. the rooms at this one are right on the beach, cozy, impeccably finshed, extremely clean, efficiently sized with a small kitchenette, and have all the comforts of cable and wi fi for an incredible value. Whenever in the area, I would highly recommend these resorts as an all around value for singles, couples and families. Like i said if you love the beach this is a most stay place. Once you go you will want to come back again and again.

“A Gem by the Sea”
Tampa, Florida

Sometimes we all need to get away from the stresses of life. After five days at the Seaside Inn Beach & Resort, I felt soothed, renewed and rejuvenated. The careful attention to detail was evident in many ways. From the smiling, warm welcome I received on my arrival, to the staff's helpful recommendations on where to eat, shop, sightsee and how to use Anna Maria Island's free trolley service, to the beautifully decorated (tropical-style) room with a well-appointed kitchen (they even had a corkscrew on hand!), to the lovely toiletries in the bathroom, I felt pampered and well taken care of. And the location cannot be beat. My own private deck, furnished with comfortable, padded chairs, loveseat and a table large enough to hold a good-sized meal for two, had steps leading down to the white sand beach and ocean. I fell asleep to the sound of waves gently lapping the shore each night, and that's the sound that greeted me each morning as well. A quiet, peaceful, gorgeous setting--combined with one of the most genuinely friendly and helpful hotel staffs I've encountered (and I travel a lot for work) and a beautiful room and personal deck with a spectacular ocean view--make the SeaSide Inn Beach Resort a true gem by the sea.

“SeaSide Resort - A beautiful piece of paradise right on the Gulf”
Hayward, CA

My father and I have been coming to the Gulf Coast for ten years. Five years ago we discovered SeaSide Resort and we keep coming back. The Penhouse is a beautiful spacious apartment equipped with everrything you could possibly need. The views from the living room, dining room and the private deck (second floor) are spectacular any time of day or night. There are no high rises on Anna Maria Island plus you are so close to the Gulf you think you are staying in your privately owned villa. Staff is wonderful and we never tire of returning.

“Peaceful and relaxing with a great view”
North Carolina

I have stayed at this hotel twice and have loved every minute and will return any chance I can. If you love the beach this is the hotel for you. Just steps to the ocean. Watching the ocean in the morning while eating breakfast outside on your patio. Then enjoying the sunset from your patio every evening. Who could ask for more. LIke i said if you love the beach this is a most stay place. Once you go you will want to come back again and again.

“Great Location and service. Most relaxing vacation I have ever experienced.”
Ohio

Love this resort! Service was great and location is remarkable. Everything you need is right on site for your use. Beach toys, chairs, floats, and umbrellas. Great views of the ocean. My husband and I rented a room instead of a suite. The room was very clean, but a tad small. The porch was a wonderful addition to the room and we spent most of our time there or on the wonderful padded lounge chairs outside of the room. We definitely will return. Closest room to the water I have ever had at a beach location.

“Fabulous Time!”
Olathe, Kansas

This was our first time but it most certainly will not be our last! This place is everything we neat freaks want - extremely nice clean rooms with wonderful room to roam. Quite possibly one of the nicest roomiest condos we have ever stayed - and we travel extensively. Always prefer to stay in a condo versus hotel room and this was truly a magnificient place. We just couldn't get over how clean the entire area was - everything is kept super spotless and the grounds are meticulously kept - not a dead leaf in site and that can't be easy for a tropical place with such lush gardens! The entire staff was extremely helpful - they even had a "rainy day" activity list ready to go in case of rain. We have already recommended this place to friends and family. It was truly remarkable.

“Paradise”
Lakeland, Florida

The Tortuga Inn in Anna Maria, Florida was paradise! My husband and I have done 9 Carribean cruises in the past and the beach here was just as nice if not nicer than many islands we have been to in the past. Anna Maria Island, is a quiet and charming island that is great for couples who want to get away from busy city life. Everyone is in flip flops and on scooters, and it is a very chill environment. The hotel here was so clean, the staff was excellent and friendly, and the complimenatry beach chairs, umbrellas and towels were a big plus! I suggest visiting the Tortuga website to see how nice it really is....all the rooms are done in crown molding, nice furnishings, nice linens, and worth every penny. We have stayed at other hotels on the island and rented homes here before, but by far this was one of nicest places we have stayed. Location is also great.... the beach is right across the street, it was nice to leave our chairs and towels to cool off in the room and not have to pack up a car and all our beach gear to reprieve from the sun. We can't wait to return! Jason and Heather Lakeland, FL

“Peaceful and beautiful.”
Lincoln, Nebraska

We stayed at the Tortuga Inn & Beach Resort for a friends wedding. It was a beautiful resort. Our room was very cute. Our friends suite was outstanding. We had such a wonderful time on the beach and at the local taverns and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach was gorgeous. I can't wait to return again someday.

“Best hotel and vacation spot in Florida!”
Wellington, Florida

From the moment you arrive, the people at the front desk are so delightful, informative, and courteous. Whether you need adivce about restuarants or activities, the staff was more than willing to offer fabulous reviews about the best local hot spots. The beach is completely private and directly across the street. The free use of towels, lounge chairs, and umbrellas is an added touch. The room was absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! 5 STAR REVIEW!! -Jim Lief

“It was lke staying in your own home only better”
Dublin

We came across this hotel by chance and struck gold. The reception staff were very pleasant and gave enough attention without going overboard. The room was superb. It didn't feel like your usual drab hotel room. It had character. The one small thing is that the room walls. Location wise it's super and the beach is only a 20 second walk away.

“A Wonderul Stay.”
Virginia

Tortuga Inn is a great place no matter how many you have with you. The beautiful beach is just across the street, and the Inn provides plenty of chairs, umbrellas and towels. It is also walking distance to the downtown area of Bradenton Beach - full of great shops and restaurants. When my spouse and I expand our family, we look forward to renting out a larger suite for the week or so! Those accomodations looked great as well.

“The Best Stay on Anna Maria Island”
Toronto, Ontario

We choose this hotel partly because of all the great reviews from Trip Advisor, and I'm so glad we did. Although I haven't stayed in many places on this island (2 others, beside this one), this place may be the best choice for cleanliness, spaciousness, amenities and charm on the island. We chose the 2-bedroom Bay view room and we so pleased; we only stayed for 3 nights and wish we could have been here a week, in spite of the nordic weather this March break!! There was only one room we would have wanted more than ours - the one with the fireplace! Kidding aside, we felt like we were staying in someone's condo. A large kitchen, spacious principal rooms, lanai, and bedrooms; in fact the 2nd bedroom and ensuite had its own microwave and fridge, and could be locked to be totally independent. We are a family of 4 - one teenager and one 7-year-old - and their bedroom had 2 twin beds. Ours had a large king size bed (mattress may need to be replaced soon in this room), a large walk-in closet and huge ensuite. Our friends happened to stay in a hotel right next door, and even acknowledged that we'd lucked out with our place. Not a 'cheap' stay, but great value, with the biggest bang for the buck for sure. And it was VERY clean. Even the elevators were cleaned regularly (we notice these things); the parking garage was safe and clean, and the main pool was really warm! We really loved it and would only stay there when we go back to this part of Florida. Oh, and the housekeeping staff: so lovely, very honest. My husband forgot a pair of shoes (!) in the room and the hotel is going to mail them back to us! How's that for honesty and service? Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

“Very comfortable. Big, well appointed rooms that feel like a vacation property should.”
Seattle

This was our second stay at the Tortuga Inn, and we'll most certainly be back. Unpretentious from the outside, we were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the rooms were. We chose a two bedroom unit to stay with another couple, and with a nice sized living room and screened in patio, we had plenty of room. Made entertaining other family members easy and enjoyable.

“Beautiful!”
Pennsylvania

Beautiful spot on Anna Maria Island. Rooms are updated and the service is very good. Across the street from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The only negatives are noisey A/C units that come on and off to much, no even cooling or heating or fan on units. No shower curtain? No fitness center. But awesome place.

“Exceptional accomodations at a reasonable price.”
Michigan

This was our first visit to Tortuga Inn, which we found online. We stayed for a week in a huge (1378 sq. ft.) and very well-appointed 2BR 2BA unit that was positively superb! Because weekly booking must be done on the phone, I had the pleasure of dealing with Janet, who is truly a gem with a wonderful sense of humor! She directed me to the unit we rented, the cost was reasonable for such a nice accommodation, and we could not have been happier. It was in the newer building; it had protected parking, a grand kitchen, and featured a large, screened lanai which had a magnificent view of the palm-framed sun rising over the Bay. Because we drove from Michigan, we had to delay our departure by 2 days to avoid the killer snow/ice storm in the Midwest, and, once again, Janet came through by putting us in a very cozy 1BR, 1BA in South Palm Court with its own mini-courtyard and charming touches like terracotta ceramic tile floors, TASTEFUL artworks, crown molding and custom bookcases. My favorite Realtor would describe it as: "Cute, cute, cute!" Overall, we were very pleased and will be back.

“My Little Piece of Heaven on Earth!!”
Florida

As much as I want to keep Tortuga Inn my very personal little secret, I figured it was only fair for me to recommend this hotel/resort as the best place to stay on Anna Maria. If you are looking for a romantic, quiet get away... or a great family vacation, Tortuga offers accomodations for both. The room selections vary to fit your needs... from studios to 2 bedroom / 2 bath facilities (I have stayed in most types of rooms and they offer a lot of privacy and have a warm, welcoming feel... I better not forget to mention how clean the grounds and rooms are).
My love story with Tortuga Inn began almost 3 years ago and was by surprise. I am a Florida native and reside approximately 1 hour away from Anna Maria / Bradenton Beaches. I love traveling, especially to beachy / island places such as various places in Mexico, Bahamas, etc. My fiance and I were looking for a quiet, close-to-home retreat. We wanted to go somewhere that was not your typical "Marriott / McDonalds" - commercial place and that allowed our little doggy to come with us... we located a hotel at Anna Maria island (not Toruga Inn) and planned to stay 2 to 3 nights. After the first night... we decided to see what other options we had for pet friendly facilities. The island/ beach was incredible and we didn't want to head home yet. I found Toruga, it caught my eye as we drove by. I made one phone call, made my reservation, and have not gone anywhere else since then. It is my true vacation; very relaxing and is now my and my fiance's favorite place to go. We love sitting on the beach at night, after dinner, with some wine and watch the sunset. I have been engaged for 4 years..... have not been able to find the place that "felt right". This past labor day weekend, while staying at Tortuga Inn, we made plans to wed there at Anna Maria Island for this year in 2010 (HOORAY!!).
The beach is a treasure, in my opinion, the best one on the west coast of FL, by far. It is well taken care of by the locals on Anna Maria Island. Also, I have never watched a sunset as beautiful or colorful as I have on the beach in front of Tortuga Inn.
Tortuga Inn is perfectly located on the island where you can walk or catch the (FREE) trolley to get anywhere for shopping, delicious one of a kind restuarants, etc. I head over to Tortuga Inn now at least once every 2 months for "weekend get aways"... and go for most holidays. I have done the research and investigating, it doesn't get better than this. Tortuga Inn is my little piece of heaven. I hope my review helps people endure as many special moments as I have experienced at Tortuga Inn. -MD

“Absolutely fantastic place.”
Ontario

Quick review. Stayed for 11 nights and had a 2 bdm/2bath unit (164). Stunning living space. I't basically a condo and has everything you would ever need. Grounds are very nice and the beach is right across the road. The pool could have been a bit warmer. Ammenities are within walking distance if you don't need to go the a supermarket. Restaurants in the area are also fantastic We were there with relatives that were staying in unit 268. All told, a wonderful vacation. Thank you Tortuga!!!

“YOU MUST STAY HERE!”
Evreux, France

This place is the BEST bang for the buck! GREAT location, great service, AMAZING ROOMS! Seriously the pictures do not do this place justice! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The beach at at your front door, resturants all around, great shopping....there is so much to do too! The hotel will give you a map of the island with phone numbers and places to go and things to do/see. We stayed in Tortuga Gardesn in a 1 bedroom delux apt (bayside) it was quiet, relaxing, we had a view of the ocean from our closed in porch! it was breath taking! room 268 is a must as well! They have beach chairs/umbrellas/towels for you to use! the room had a juccuzzi, dvd player (they have movies for you to watch in the clubhouse). It is a must stay place!!!

“Terrific - atmosphere unlike other resorts in Florida”
Paris, France

This is truly a gem. A place that has everything one could want for in a Florida vacation, yet is so different from most other accommodations one finds in this State. A great combination of clean, modern furnishings, yet with an old world feel. If you are tired of grungy, but also of sterile luxurious, this is the place for you. Very helpful staff. Walking /biking distance to some of the best beachside restaurants. This island, with its smart regulations and community feel, is a real find.

“We shall return to this gem!!”
Bradenton, Florida

We recently spent two nights a the Tortuga Inn celebrating my husband's birthday, and we wished we could have spent two more nights! This was our first stay at the Tortuga, and we were very pleased. The room (a gulf front studio) was quite spacious and well-appointed with a kitchenette and a luxury bath. It didn't feel like a hotel/motel - it felt like we had our own lovely little apartment directly across the street from the beach. The location is good - away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a short walk to Bradenton Beach shops and restaurants. The room was very clean, and the only criticism we had was that the carpet is rather worn. When we checked out, we were greeted and thanked by friendly staff and by the owner, who wanted to know whether we had enjoyed our stay. We have recommended the Tortuga to friends and family members who visit us in Florida, and some of our family members are staying at the Tortuga next month. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Tortuga - our 20th wedding anniversary in April. My husband and I highly recommend this property.

“Tortuga was terrific
Pittsburgh, Pa

We have been to Anna Maria many times, but this was our first stay at Tortuga. It was a wonderful experience and we have found our "home away from home" when visiting the gulf coast. We stayed in the palm court in a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms were immaculately clean and pleasantly furnished. We found the staff to be cheerful and helpful. The private gulf beach was just steps away and umbrellas, lounge chairs and towels were provided. I have only good things to say about the Tortuga Inn. We have already made our reservations for next year and next year we will be trying accomodations in their garden building. Highly reccomend

“Tortuga Inn was our wedding headquarters and was GREAT!”
Buffalo, NY

My daughters wedding was at the Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island in Oct 2009 and we stayed along with the wedding party and many guests at the Tortuga Inn. I had visisted the area several times prior and the Tortuga was the one we picked after checking out several other hotels. Tim at the desk was one of the reasons. He made suggestions on our accommodations, let us see each type of room available, and offered a wedding discount. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, extremely clean and the staff, both office and house keeping, were very efficient and friendly. The pool areas were also very clean and the water was beautiful. Cell phone reception on the island is not great but the hotel offers free local and long distance calling for free. Parking for our rooms were a garage under the rooms and was perfect. We did have a few complain that the matttresses were hard but other than that, everything was great. We even fished off the dock in back and saw Manatees, Dolphins and many kinds of fish and bird life. I coud go on and on! Thank you Tortuga Inn for helping to make my daughters wedding the one she dreamed about!!

“A lovely gem of a resort - relaxing and refreshing!”
Florida

We have been staying at the TORTUGA INN since 2003 - we usually go twice a year - we are from the east coast of Florida but we also love the gulf - it is so serene and relaxing. Tortuga Inn consistently achieves the very best in elegantly casual and comfortable surroundings, with a staff dedicated to making you feel special. Our daughter designated Tortuga Inn as the accommodations of choice for her wedding in 2006 - people are STILL talking about what a wonderful weekend they had - not just the wedding - not a single complaint out of 100 or so guests about her choice. ? The guests consistently said how lovely the rooms and grounds were - how welcoming they felt and even their children behaved better than they usually did!!! We can't wait to unload our luggage and breathe sigh of relief - we always feel at home here. We have a 1st grandchild this year and next year when we come back, she will be the 4th generation of our family to be staying at the Tortuga Inn. This is a very special place.

“Better than we anticipated...AWESOME!”

We stayed in a two bedroom garden delux room. It was beautiful! The furnishings were new, the kitchen was huge and the living space was plenty! Great service during making reservations and upon check-in. We will definately be back and will recommend it to others!

“Heaven on earth is at the Tortuga Inn”
Tampa Florida

This was my fourth stay at the Tortuga Inn. The facilities are the perfect complement to an island that is truly a getaway. Hotel staff are friendly and extremely accommodating. From our front porch perch we enjoyed sunsets into the Gulf and just a few steps away felt the cool smooth Gulf sand between our toes. Anna Maria Island is the perfect island getaway far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I especially liked that there were no towering hotel chains to mar the beautiful skyline. Just peace and quiet -- perfect for a romantic weekend.

“A VACATION TO REMEMBER”
Ridgewood NJ

First and foremost I Have been traveling for well over 40 years. We have traveled for both business and pleasure during this time period. Included in this travel have been family vacations. Now our family includes three married children and two grandchildren. All of the above are my most valuable resources. Family vacations are few and far between. The week we spent at Tortuga was a week which will be remembered by all. The suites,153 and 155 were outstanding. The facilities were immaculate. Most importantly the staff from the front office to the young ladies that do the cleaning were/are all"pay attention to detail people" We will be frequent attedees to this resort The Roth family Al/Karolyn

“This place is heaven”
Richland Center, Wisconsin

We were there for a family wedding, coming from all over the U.S., and had a great time. Even though we were in different buildings, it was easy to connect with each other and everybody's accomodations were geared to what worked best for them. Everything was beautifully decorated and relaxing. A real oasis between all of the wedding activities that were scheduled. I wish we had longer to stay and just enjoy the resort itself. Our 2 bedroom apt was exceptionally clean and had all of the comforts of home and more. There are many great places to eat and the beach was beautiful and inviting. The office staff was very accommodating. They were great about helping to make the event run smoothly. I highly recommend this place to singles, honeymooners, families, or anyone planning a reunon. You won't be disappointed.

Orlando

My wife & I have been looking for a close 3-4 day getaway, well we found it. the resort sits on the gulf & the bay, the best of both worlds. they have an amazing new dock for boats, plus they allow us to bring our little dog with us. we can't wait to go back when ever we leave. thanks tortuga inn, for a great getaway for us.

“Best experience ever!”
St.Pete Florida

We checked into the Tortuga Inn initially as a chance to plan our wedding and reception. We were lucky enough to have won the first annual Anna Maria Island Wedding Festival in January. One of the packages we won was a weekend getaway at Tortuga Inn, so we decided to use that as our "home base" for all of our wedding planning. However, once we were relaxed and captivated with the sheer beauty of Anna Maria Island and the impeccable services offered by David Teitelbaum and his staff at Torguga, we were inspired to move forward and ELOPE during our fabulous stay at the resort. David, and his assistant, Katy, made sure that every detail was addressed. Within a matter of 48 hours we were able to have the wedding of our dreams, enjoy first class accommodations, and celebrate the best days of our lives. Thank you David, Katy and staff for the most memorable days of our lives! Mary and John DeRussy

A really neat place - would go back in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our three-day stay at the Tradewinds. The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed; loved the front porch and view of the bay. Hope to stay again sometime.

Simply Perfect
Knoxville, TN

My husband and I have just returned from a great week at Tradewinds Resort. We were there in March 2009 (a trip I won on a radio station) and loved it so much we booked to return this year before we left. We were in Unit 22, which I love because of the great Bay views. The weather this year was cool, but we had bright sunshine every day. The pool is heated (thank goodness) so we were able to swim everyday. It is a short walk to the shared private beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available. The office staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed..part of the family. I found all the guests there to be friendly as well and we became great friends with our neighbours too. This year I found the kitchen to well equipped with new pots. We did eat out a few nights and I had a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday at a local restaurant. Lots to do and see on Anna Maria Island and I hope to return again next year.

“Location offers everything you need, beach, relaxation & entertainment”
Northern Wisconsin

Friendly staff, eager to please. Extremely clean facility with very nice heated pool area(no hot tub), quality beach towels provided. Well equiped kitchen. Comfortable hide-a-bed. Beautiful public beach directly across road on Gulf side. Location provides for a great vacation. Leave the car sit, rent a bike or you are walking distance to area restaurants. Free trolly takes you any where you want to go. Things we wished we had, a TV in bedroom, more lawn chairs(only had two for 4 people), they probably would have provided more if we had asked and a hot tub. We will definitely return.

“All the charm, beautiful tropical landscaping, cleanliness, and hospitable staff one could want in a resort.”
Cape Cod and Boston

We were guests from mid January through mid February, and frankly based our choice of Tradewinds on the numerous positive Tripadvisor reviews. We would echo those stellar reviews. This is the perfect small resort. It is extraordinarily quiet; the cottages are in the Key West "conch" style, impeccably clean and nicely furnished, and in a perfect location sandwiched between the sound and the Gulf. The staff, especially Jesse and Katy couldn't have been more helpful as well as the housekeeping staff especially Rocio. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

“Still Love This Place!”
Chicago, Illinois

My husband and I stayed at Tradewinds for the third time last November. Because we love Anna Maria so much, we brough my folks along for the trip. Instead of renting our usual 1-bedroom unit, we rented the two-bedroom/2-bathroom unit overlooking the bay.
It was perfect. The unit itself is gorgeous; it must have been renovated within the last year or two. The views of the bay are breathtaking, the grounds and pool are beautiful, and the beach is a 3-4 minute walk through the property and down the avenue. We also like that we can walk to several restaurants. If you're looking for a trendy hotspot, don't stay at Tradewinds. Actually, don't go to Anna Maria Island. But if you're looking for a quiet, laid-back property in a beach setting, Tradewinds is the place to go. We will continue to return to Tradewinds.

“A little piece of paradise!”
Lexington, KY

The accommodations remind me of a tropical bungalow--very roomy, clean, and well-kept grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect--beach right across the street and bay at the other end of the property. Love the pier that extends out over the bay--perfect place for a picnic lunch. The pool area is well maintained and in a lovely setting--more like a tropical island. Appreciated the fact that you could opt to do your own housekeeping and save a bundle on the room rate! Be sure to ask about this perk!

“Great vacation spot with beach and bay access.”
Alabama

Tradewinds Resort is a great place to stay on Anna Marie Island and we recommend it very highly. It has access to the bay for fishing, a nice pool, and directly across the street from the beach. The rooms have been remodeled and are very clean. The staff of Tradewinds is very accommodating and made us feel welcome. You can walk to a nice restaurant called the Gathering Place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had car trouble the day before we were leaving and had to wait for our car to be fixed before checking out on the day to drive home. They gave us a late checkout and couldn't have been nicer about our situation. I would recommend Tradewinds Resort to anyone looking for nice a place to stay on Anna Marie Island.

“Outstanding hospitality & accomodations.”
Ft. Myers, FL

This was our second stay at tradewinds. my daughter and two granddaughters, both 12 years old at the time of our last stay, love to visit tradewinds. although linda virgils, a property owner at tradewinds, and a travel agent based in chicago, goes out of her way to help me get the best deal, she received no commission. katie and anitra, receptionists at tradewinds, are very helpful and cheerful. the units are very clean and well appointed, down to the bbq utensils (grills are available at the end of each building). the bay is on the back side and the beach is just a short walk across the street. nice size pool. the pool heather had broken and the pool water was pretty chilly. however, staff did offer to let us use a sister company's pool just two doors down. the free island trolley stops right in front of the property. the girls love walking to the shops and eateries that are close by. very homey feel and great location.

“New Family Tradition”
Tampa, Florida

We just left Tradewinds this morning and hated to go. We all loved our cottage, close to the beach, very clean condos and friendly staff. We will be back again next year at Tradewinds. The condo was completely equipped with all the comforts of home -- Tv with VCR/DVD player (for those cold days), and the kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. We could walk to the key shopping area, great dining options and wonderful ice cream parlor(s). (Oma's Pizza and Olaf's Creamery were favs.) The free bus/trolley line that goes all around the island had a stop about a block away. Everything was wonderful and convenient! ;)

“Great tropical getaway for families or couples”
West Coast Florida

Tradewinds has landscaped their "little village" beautifully. The pool area was very well maintained and our cottage was neat and clean. The complex is family frendly and very tropical. Tradewinds location to downtown makes access to shops and restaurants easy. The island trolley stopsacross the street. The beach is awesome.

“Paradise!”
Martinsville, IN

I love Tradewinds Resort! I stayed there for 5 days in September, on a solo getaway, and loved it so much that my husband and I went back in October! The units are well appointed and immaculate, the landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, the pool is perfect, and we loved going out on the pier and drinking our coffee in the morning and catching glimpses of the dolphins. I can't say enough about Tradewinds, except we will definitely be going back as soon as we can!

“Charm of Florida's yesterday with all the comforts of today”
Tampa, Florida

When you pull into Trade-Winds resort you'll feel like you've gone back in time to a Florida before cold, impersonal high rise hotels. You'll pull up to the front door of your own little cottage, clean and tastefully decorated inside and with charming landscaping outside. There's a full kitchen, dining area, living room and a separate bedroom suite complete with a walk-in closet. Just across the street is the beach on the gulf of Mexico and at the other end of the property is a pool and pier which goes out into the intercoastal waterway. Sunrise or sunset...take your pick...or watch both. My wife and I go here every late October or early November for a relaxing weekend. You can do as much or as little as you like in the Ana Maria area. At Trade-Winds you'll feel in the heart of it all but a million miles away...almost back in time.

“Wonderful vacation and great accomodations”
Miami, Florida

I came back to Tradewinds because I had stayed in one before and loved it. My husband, 2 kids and I stayed in the super cozy and spacious studio (#35) just a few steps from the beach. My kids loved waking up and swinging on the wooden swing just outside the door. The bed was super comfortable, lots of drawers for clothes and hangers in the closet for your convenience along with great room service and beach towels are provided as well, daily. They also give you umbrellas and beach toys for the sand. We had 2 parking spaces in front of our studio just for us and a BBQ grill. I had all the comforts of home while enjoying a week of fun in the sun with my family and I would definitely return and highly recommend it. One last thing, fully equipped kitchen was the most convenient for me with my little ones.
